Another treasonous Obama initiative. I wonder if CAIR, MSA, ISNA, ICNA, are on the distribute list as well. Who is vetting these 10,000 clowns?
How many of the unionized TSA people are unionized ..... by SEIU ? And the "Behavior Detection Officers"? Sworn L.E.O.'s......union members.
How many of the TSA people getting the classification are being screened for their loyalty to protect and defend the American people -- or is this all happening in line with the administration's agenda of anti-American rule?
10,000 TSA staff to get secret intel USA Today hat tip Kenny S
About 10,000 airport security workers will get access to secret intelligence that could help stop terrorist attacks on planes.
The Transportation Security Administration plan aims to help its officers spot terrorists by giving them more detailed information about tactics and threats, TSA officials and security experts said. The agency, viewed by some as throngs of workers pawing through luggage at checkpoints, hopes to empower its higher-level workers as part of an effort to professionalize airport security.
The 10,000 people in line to get classified information are managers, supervisors and "behavior detection officers" who roam airports looking for suspicious people. They represent about 20% of the TSA's airport workforce and exclude screeners who scan passengers and bags.
The information could include copies of terrorist training videos or tips vaguely describing a terrorism suspect, experts said. "Some classified information seems innocuous but is classified because it was derived from an intercepted phone conversation," said Steven Aftergood, an intelligence-policy specialist for the Federation of American Scientists.
"This could enable broader sharing of some kinds of sensitive information," Aftergood said.
TSA workers are getting "Secret" clearance — which ranks above Confidential but below Top Secret.
About 2.5 million Americans have security clearances, many of them in the military or working for defense contractors, and some working for the Homeland Security Department, Aftergood said.
Do you wonder why this happened ? I don't. I know why it happened.
Think it came out of nowhere ? It didn't. It came from the top.

Hmmm...I wonder how many of these people have credit issues, and I wonder if the normal requirement to get security clearance will be waived under this Executive Order for those with credit issues. If so, that is not a good sign at all.

Well, whaddya know. A gift of National Security "Secrets" to a hodgepodge of UNVETTED TSA workers. Did anybody determine, as Ms. Geller asks, their LOYALTY to the USA? Did anybody determine whether they were blackmail-proof, bribe-proof, threat-proof? And like CATE above asks, will they undergo NORMAL security clearance? No, you say? Well, whaddya know? (And you better tell us, said Ahmad, Mohammad, Tariq, et al. or else!). How long before the rest of us legal, American citizens learn of these secrets? Not too long - maybe during the discovery process of some "civil" case. Well, whaddya know...

What do the secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, HHS, or the administrator of AID or the EPA have to do with classifying information "vital to national security"? What are they doing or handling that could be considered top secret?
This is more smoke and mirrors, with no purpose other than to hide the unConstitutional actions of the obama cabal from the American people.

So I guess THIS TSA officer will get those secret how-to-spot-a-terrorist intelligence?

I don't read this as earthshaking. It doesn't say that 10,000 TSA people who don't have a security clearance are going to get classified info. It classifies a level of staff above the baggage apes and gropers. These folks probably already have a National Agency Check as part of their employment vetting. A security clearance to access Secret is not that rare. It also doesn't indicate the classification level of the material. If Confidential or Secret, you aren't dealing with very high level stuff and if "need to know" criteria are applied, you can certainly justify screeners for terrorists having a need to know about the terrorists they are screening for.
The list of original classification authority is simply filler here. Originators of material are delegated classification authority for materials they create, so listing DOD for example means military people can label materials as classified to the level that they have access to themselves. It is a broad ranging authority.
There's no smoking gun here and jumping to conclusions about "unvetted TSA" or SEIU members or uncleared personnel is a stretch.

tie this to the story of the airport forced to give a convicted felon a all areas security pass and you can see where this is going.
http://boardingarea.com/blogs/flyingwithfish/2010/02/05/tsa-hires-felon-forces-airport-to-issue-security-badge/
Richmond International Airport (RIC) like many airports controls the security badges issued to those with access to secure areas of their airport. Like most airports, RIC will not issue a secure area badge to those convicted of a felony or convicted of ‘disqualifying crimes’ … unless of course they are forced to issue a security badge by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) & Transportation Security Administration.

so how many of these tsa workers are criminals already?
why even bother with secruity at this point.
